| Assist staff to preserve library materials so they can be maintained in the collection. Volunteers should have manual dexterity, ability to handle many items and be physically able to bend, stoop and load book trucks. Available hours are M-F, 9am-4pm. |

| Do you have public speaking experience and enjoy Minneapolis Central Library? Volunteer for the Tour docent program at Minneapolis Central! Training for new volunteers is planned for September. Training is a commitment of 4 hours twice weekly for two weeks plus other sessions before your first tour. |
| Welcome Station at Minneapolis Central |
| Volunteers will provide information on location of library services, scheduled events, and Minneapolis Central tours. Available shifts are daytime; subs also needed for 2-3 hour shifts Monday-Sunday - training is provided. |
