Arctic Fever is the Winter Festival celebrated in the South Lake Minnetonka Cities of Excelsior, Shorewood and Tonka Bay between Friday, Jan. 13 – Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017. There are many activities scheduled in the 3 cities for those days.
The Friends of the Excelsior Library are sponsoring the Brodini Comedy Magic show at the Excelsior Library on Sat. Jan. 14 at 10:30 a.m.
A coloring contest is also part of the Arctic Fever festivities. Coloring sheets for the coloring contest are available to pick up at Excelsior Library. Minneapolis College of Art and Design graduate and artist Megan Russell created the coloring sheet drawing. The contest is open to children ages 3-11. Children may pick up a coloring sheet, color, and return it by Saturday, January 14, at 5:00 pm. One entry is allowed per child.
Crayons and markers will be available for children who wish to complete an entry at the library on Saturday, January 14, 11:00 am-5:00 pm. The Friends of the Excelsior Library and Artworks Art & Frame Inc. will provide the prizes for the Arctic Fever Coloring Contest. Winners (in three categories: ages 3-5, 6-8, and 9-11) will be notified by phone. Children may reclaim their entries January 17-February 4.
