St. Anthony Library reopens December 17 after renovation

Hennepin County Library – St. Anthony, 2941 Pentagon Dr. N.E., reopens Saturday, Dec. 17 at 9 a.m. after a 14-week, $850,000 renovation.

Improvements include a larger meeting room and new interactive learning space in the children’s area. Carpeting, furniture and shelving have been replaced. There are new comfortable seating areas with natural light and accessible power outlets, and computers were rearranged to support both individual and collaborative work.

Ceiling and interior walls were reconstructed to open up the space. New automated materials handling equipment and a new work room reconfiguration will improve behind-the-scenes efficiencies.

Patrons with unfilled holds placed before the library closed will see the pickup location change back to St. Anthony automatically. To change the pickup location of other holds placed during the closure, patrons can Ask Us online, by phone at 612-543-KNOW (5669) or in person at any Hennepin County library.

Library hours remain the same: noon-8 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday; 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday-Saturday; closed Sunday.
