On Monday, May 29 (Memorial Day), Hennepin County libraries are closed.
A Request for Interest to Purchase (RFI) was issued last week for the land (shown below as “parcel B”) adjacent to the new Webber Park Library site and near the historic Victory Memorial Drive. Details are below and the RFI bid document is also posted at: http://www.hennepin.us/business/work-with-henn-co/rfi-webber-park-library-surplus-land. Please feel free to share this information with others who might be interested. Questions regarding this Request for Interest may be directed to Thatcher Imboden of Hennepin County Housing, Community Works & Transit at 612.348.4191 or email@example.com.
Proposals must be received no later than Friday, November 21, 2014 at 4:00 pm. Respondents will be invited to present their concepts to a community open house in early December 2014.
Approximately 1.2 acre site with a 15,000 square foot commercial structure is available via a Request for Interest.
The Hennepin County Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HCHRA), in partnership with Hennepin County and the City of Minneapolis, has identified a unique redevelopment opportunity in conjunction with the construction of a new library facility (the “new Webber Park Library”) on the east side of Humboldt Avenue North between 44th Avenue and Victory Memorial Parkway.
Hennepin County has acquired approximately 2.25 acres bordered by 44th Avenue North on the south, Humboldt Avenue on the west, 45th Avenue North on the north, and Hamilton Manor on the east. It is projected that approximately 1.2 acres of surplus property on the south side of site will be available for repositioning or redevelopment upon completion of the new library. Developable property will be subject to a final survey.
