AWAIR Training
Course Objectives:
Yearly AWAIR (A Workplace Accident Injury Reduction program) training of all HCL employees is a mandatory Minnesota OSHA regulation. It is a health and safety regulation, and its purpose is to reduce workplace accidents and injuries through development and use of a formal accident and injury reduction program. Basic Principles for a Collaborative Workplace
Course Objectives:
Organizations today require a workplace where everyone is willing and able to work together in new and collaborative ways. Collaboration
positively impacts productivity, quality, customer expectations, and overall organizational performance. This workshop shows how the Basic
Principles create a climate where everyone is able to cooperate, share ideas, and work together for a common purpose. The Basic Principles
provide a set of behaviors for putting an organization's shared values into practice to develop a strong network of relationships at every level of the organization.
Catch the FISH! Philosophy
Course Objectives:
At the completion of this workshop, participants will be able to identify the four concepts of the FISH! Philosophy and identify at least one way each concept could be implemented in their work place. The FISH! Philosophy was created at Seattle's Pike Place Fish Market. Imagine a workplace where everyone chooses to bring energy, passion, and a positive attitude to the job every day. Imagine an environment in which people are truly connected to their work, to their colleagues, and to their patrons.
Conflict Resolution
Course Objectives:

Creative Problem Solving
Course Objectives:

Customer Service
Course Objectives:
This workshop will help staff enhance and refine their current customer skills. Some of the topics included are creating a positive attitude, communication skills (i.e. nonverbals, listening, asking questions), telephone courtesy, dealing with difficult customers and dealing with stress. Effective Meetings
Course Objectives:
This workshop will provide you with the skills to assess the purpose of the meetings that you are planning; establish goals and objectives; and set an agenda that is productive and time efficient. Other elements covered will be whom to invite to the meeting, does a meeting need to be held, how to promote participant involvement in an atmosphere that is respectful; how to deal with specific personalities that may derail the agenda; and how to plan the logistical elements. Expressing Yourself: Presenting Your Thoughts and Ideas
Course Objectives:
The sharing of knowledge, thoughts, and ideas is essential to an organization's ability to achieve continuous learning. Employees must be motivated to say what they think and skilled in expressing themselves effectively. This workshop raises participant's confidence and skill in presenting their thoughts and ideas. They learn techniques for planning, organizing, and delivering results-oriented messages - techniques they can use in situations ranging from informal discussions to formal presentations.
Fundamentals of Project Planning

This course will provide you with the tools needed to develop a project plan that will help you achieve your project objectives. Giving and Receiving Constructive Feedback
Course Objectives:
Both individuals and organizations benefit from honest, objective feedback about how things are going. A constant exchange of information keeps everyone on track and helps the organization stay competitive. Problems come to the forefront before they get out of hand, information that can improve performance gets to the right people at the right time, and people build strong working relationships. In this workshop, participants learn constructive approaches to giving and receiving feedback. The emphasis is on maintaining a spirit of openness and mutual respect.
Influencing for Win-Win Outcomes

Successful organizations thrive on new ideas because new ideas can lead to finding better ways to work. An organization that can put
people's good ideas to use has a power competitive edge - continuous improvement. But in today's cross-functional workplace, ideas often
need support from a wide range of people in order to be successfully implemented. Unless people have the confidence and skills to win
support for their ideas by influencing others, many good ideas will be lost. In this workshop, participants learn to analyze, develop, and
present their ideas in a way that will help them win the necessary support.

Today, far-reaching advances in technology, continually increasing customer expectations, and the expansion of the global marketplace are
redefining the standards for competitive success. As a result, organizations everywhere face a host of challenges, many of which were not visible even a few years ago. One of the key methods for responding to these new challenges is to make leadership the responsibility of everyone in the organization. This is an awareness workshop that defines what is common to leadership roles regardless of the individual's specific assignment or position in the organization.

Myers Briggs Personality Type Inventory

Based on Jung’s theory of personality; you will take the MBTI inventory to help identify your personality "type." Learn how different "types" get their energy, gather information, make decisions and deal with the world around them. Team Training
Course Objectives:
This course explores the characteristics, challenges and pitfalls of teams and helps participants understand the group dynamics and skills needed to be part of a successful team. You will engage in small group exercises that address: characteristics of effective teams, barriers to teamwork, stages of team development, and team problem-solving techniques. Time Management
Course Objectives:
In this workshop you will learn that the secret to effective time management is controlling events not hours. This course is designed for staff who conduct formal classroom training.
