Supervisors/managers are responsible for system-wide announcements of personnel appointments for key positions. Positions automatically included are all supervisory and management classifications; all associate librarian through coordinating librarian positions; positions with system-wide impact; and any other appointments considered by the supervisor to have significant influence throughout the library system.

Announcements are intended to help introduce the new staff member as well as identify the supervisor with the person selected. Work history and background information about the new person are appropriate areas to cover.
