POLICY

Outstanding customer service means that all people who seek to use the library services, materials, and facilities are treated equally and respectfully.

Patrons should be greeted pleasantly and served courteously. Discussion of potentially sensitive subjects (i.e., religion, politics, etc.) in the library is discouraged. Public Service staff members are requested, while on duty or in any way representing the library, not to voice opinions about these matters. The library is a non-partisan institution, supply, as nearly as possible, material on all subjects but offering no personal interpretations.

All library users and staff have the right to have library policies and procedures explained to them.
