POLICY

It is the policy of the Hennepin County Library that all people who seek to use the library's services, materials, and facilities are treated equally and with respect.

All library users have the right to have library policies and procedures explained to them.

The Library Board policy, Disorderly Conduct and Vandalism, states appropriate use of the library.

In addition, no person shall engage in any conduct that disturbs or interferes with patrons or employees of the Library. Such behavior includes:

Panhandling or soliciting
Smoking or other use of tobacco
Bringing beverages in uncovered containers or food into the library
Causing any loud, unreasonable, and/or disturbing noises created by persons or electronic devices
Using cell phones
Bringing dangerous weapons into a library building
