It is the policy of the Hennepin County Library that all people who seek to use the Library's services, materials and facilities are treated equally and respectfully.
Courtesy to all patrons is essential to the success of the Library. Patrons should be greeted pleasantly and served courteously. Discussion of potentially sensitive subjects (i.e., religion, politics, etc.) in the library is contrary to Library policy. Staff members are requested while on duty, or in any way representing the Library, not to voice opinions about these matters. The Library is a non-partisan institution, supplying, as nearly as possible, material on all subjects but offering no personal interpretations.
