Farewell, Elmore Leonard
Cover Art Elmore Leonard, the hugely successful writer behind such modern-day classics as Get Shorty and Out of Sight, passed away on August 20 at the age of 87. Leonard was known as a crime writer with a keen sense of humor and his style made a lasting imprint not just on the literary world, but on the movie world, where adaptations of his work gained widespread popularity and recognition.
