 Heir to the empire by Zahn, Timothy. This is the first in the novel continuation of the Star Wars trilogy, taking place ten years after the first one, as the Empire reemerges behind a strong new leader. posted Jun 16, 2010 at 3:19PM

 Mistborn : the final empire by Sanderson, Brandon. The Mistborn series is one of the most original fantasy books that I have ever had the pleasure of reading. With an incredibly detailed backstory which mostly consists of the villain succeeding in killing the hero and conquering the world a thousand years previously at first, but which becomes more and more complex as time goes on, a developing heroine character, and a completly original system of magic, this is one of the best new books to emerge in a decade. posted Jun 16, 2010 at 3:16PM

 The crystal shard by Salvatore, R. A., 1959- This book is one of many novels of the Forgotten Realms series, which take place on the mythical continent of Faerun. This particular book follows the adventures of a main character whose name I have given up attempting to spell from memory, an outcast from his (horrifyingly evil) kind, as he struggles to survive amongst relatively good people. posted Jun 16, 2010 at 3:13PM
