Reading for fun and to learn... (21 titles)
These are some of my favorite books of the last year. Most of them offer insight on a larger topic, in addition to an up-close view of the person's life. I find I retain information best when I learn history or current events via a personal account. I also love Barbara Kingsolver and some of Laura Restrepo's fiction - Isle of Passion is historical fiction. So far this is what I can currently remember of the last year of reading. I would love to hear about more titles that may continue on the themes represented by these books, or new ideas...
