I was actually disappointed with this book. All the other artemis fowl books have been so incredibly amazing that this one was not near up to par. I have been reading the series since sixth grade, and now being in tenth, have grown to love them. This one though, it was almost like a completely different series, it was so strange and different from the other books. In another series, i would have said it was amazing, top notch. This book had its moments of creepiness... but I did enjoy it. It was very different from the twilight series vampires, which was a nice change. Melissa De La Cruz really got in the teenage mindset when she was writing this book. It was worth checking into.   posted Apr 27, 2009 at 3:37PM

I LOVE THIS BOOK! It’s my favorite out of the three so far. I met the author in a book store when he was first releasing this one and not near as famous as he is now. OMG THIS BOOK IS SO GOOD! I couldn’t put it down so I brought it to Disney world on vacation with me...and read it in line for space mountain...and got some very strange looks. WARNING, this book is extremely graphic. If you can’t handle reading about gore, don’t read it. Otherwise, I suggest giving it a shot!   posted Apr 11, 2009 at 10:20PM
