I think this is awesome and really detail in what to black americans in the old and still tells a great story. You can't wait to see what happens next. My advice if you haven't read it read it. I really liked this book. I can realate to Shayla ( the main charactar) and what happens in the book. Right away you are intrigud by Kambia and want to know more you cannot put the book down. I thought it was spectacular. If you like books about to friends trying to keep their friendship through hard times, you'll like this book. It's all about a boy named Branwell. He cannot talk, well not until his baby sister found herself in a coma. The only person who can help Branwell is his best friend, Connor. But even Connor is having difficulty reaching Branwell.
