by Rogers, Matthew a pretty, appetizing book. but the recipes require a bunch of not-so-common kitchen gadgets, and even less accessable ingredients. may be a great book for those living a raw vegan lifestyle already, not great for the rest of us who merely dabble. posted Nov 4, 2009 at 9:13AM

by Renewing the Countryside (Organization) I wasgoing to purchase this book when I saw it at a local co-op here in Minneapolis. I am glad I looked at it first. It is not a very well done cookbook. It’s mostly long editorials about local farmers and chefs, which may be of interest to some, but I waslooking for a real cookbook using local foods. The photography is pretty bad too. posted Nov 4, 2009 at 9:04AM

by Lass, Jenny I liked the idea behind this cookbook, and I especially think those following the GAPS and SCD diets will find it appealing. However the actual layout of the book is so bad that it detracts from the benefit to be gained from reading it. Full color photos are placed seemingly at random, and not next to the recipes, which makes the book seem cheaply produced. Also none of the recipes strike me as at all posted Nov 4, 2009 at 9:02AM
