What is a Book Club Kit? One-stop shopping for your book club all in one bag! Each kit contains: • 8-10 copies of one title • Discussion questions • Tips for a successful a book group How do I reserve a kit? Go to the list of Book Club Kits and click on a title to get more information. Then click on the "Reserve Kit" button to check availability and to make a reservation. If you want to find out what's available for a particular date, choose Check dates for available titles. You can also call or visit your local library and a librarian will reserve the kit for you. You will need a registered library card to reserve a kit. When the kit is available to be picked up, you will be notified by phone or e-mail. How many kits can I reserve? You can have up to six kits reserved at one time. How long can I keep a kit? A kit is checked out to one book group member who is responsible for all of the materials. The group may keep the kit for up to 6 weeks. Book Club Kits may not be renewed. Please return kits promptly so they will be available for other book groups. Where can I pick up and return a kit? You can pick up a kit at any Hennepin County library. Kits must be returned to a Hennepin County Library during open hours, since they can't be returned in a bookdrop. The fine for overdue kits is 30 cents a day, and missing books will be charged to the person who checked out the kit. How was the library able to start this service? The Library Foundation of Hennepin County funded the purchase of the books, the bags, and other materials. Book Club Kits support Hennepin County Library's mission, which includes promoting the love of reading.
