This Poet sequel (with some reference to Blood Work) is another great Harry Bosch thriller. Bosch finds himself working with an FBI agent (against his better judgment), though he later discovers some unexpected benefits. He also makes a decision that will affect his future. Author Michael Connelly put together another great page-turner.

The Narrows continues a theme from a previous book. Connally’s characters are in several books and sometimes the plots continue. This book is neither better nore worse than the usual bosch fare, which is to say that it is a compelling read.
