This was the 1st Christopher Moore book I read. Needless to say, I was hooked from the 1st sentence. It's laugh-out-loud funny!

Be careful if you pick up one Christopher Moore book--you may just want to read them all. People nearby will want to know what you’re reading because guaranteed, you’ll be laughing out loud. Moore does not shy away from topics or issues, and although irreverent, all his books are heavily researched. Nicholas Sparks wrote, “Christopher Moore writes novels that are not only hilarious, but fun to read as well. He is an author at the top of his craft.” We at the Eden Prairie Library couldn’t agree more. We recommend starting with “The Stupidest Angel” or “Lamb: the Gospel According to Biff, Christ’s Childhood Pal.”

This book was fantastic!! Story, characters, delivery, humor, & ending were all spectacular. I wish I had read some of the earlier books for more back story but works well as a stand alone.
