The begining of the book was a bit confusing because you were thrown right into the action. As the book went on it got very interesting especialy the references to T.A. Barron's other series, The Lost Years of Merlin.

The Great Tree of Avalon: Child of the Dark Proffaicy is a really exciting book. It is really aventurous, dangerous, and lots of fun to read. The main character is a orphan who dosen't know who his parents are and he roams the exciting world of Avalon.
