Hilarious, action filled series!
Good old, serious Halt! Throwing people into moats and so on. Then there's the ever-clueless Will, who never gets sarcasm. Then there's coffee-addicted Gilan and that bear of a Battleschool apprentice Horace. Good 'ol Gilan, always reliable

This is fantasy but my friend told me about it and the books are great! There is Will and he becomes a Rangers Apprentice where he learns about the evil Morgorath. Ok this might sound cheesy but it's truly good!

In the book The Ranger's Apprentice there is a boy whose name is Will. Will has no last name because his mother died giving birth to him and his father had died fighting in a war. So know he is a ward in a fief(kingdom). He is awaiting to be tried and chosen by a guild master. This happens when all of the wards turn 16 in the year. If they are not chosen they have to work on a farm which was everyones greatest fear. Even though he doesn't know it if he is not picked by a master it would mean the end of the Kingdom. So know the burden is unknowingly on his shoulders.
Through my eyes this story is a good story for all people that like fiction stories that are shorter. This book still has good word choice though. It has humor for all ages and is still an exceptionally good story line. This book will keep you wondering what's going to happen next. The story also has a lesson in it that is anyone can change over a time. The good thing about this book is that it is only book one of four. So start here and read on.
