I love this entire series. Terry Goodkind is a great writer. He does get a little preachy sometimes, but his writing and ability to keep you reading is amazing.

Terry Goodkind creates amazing worlds and characters. Be aware, however, that the stories can be rather gruesome, even gory at times.

I couldn’t finish this book. Halfway through I realized that there was only one major male character and 90% of the female characters were in love with him in one way or the other. Add in the practically obsessive use of rape as a way to control women, I just began to wonder what kind of man the author is. I got too icked out by my conclusion.
