Was very taken with Suite Francaise. I keep thinking about it and thinking about it. There is an immediacy to it as she is writing it as it is happening. What a tragedy. Her husband’s letters (in the back of the book) are particularly sad and moving. It doesn’t appear that any of her other writings have been translated. That’s a shame as I would very much like to read more of what she wrote. There are websites you might like to check out.

I just couldn't finish this book--I found it boring. So following the Nancy Pearl rule of 50 I decided to put it aside for now--maybe another day or maybe never!
