M. Christina Butler was born in Scarborough, North Yorkshire, England in 1934. After studying for four years at Leeds General Infirmary in West Yorkshire, she obtained her state registration as a nurse. Her first book, Can I Stay with You?, was published in 1987. Her other works include Too Many Nests, Stanley in the Dark, Big Bad Rex, One Snowy Night, Snow Friends, and Who's Been Eating My Porridge? (Bowker Author Biography)
