It is time to retire the weather as a character in novels set in Minnesota. Admittedly, in this case it fits the subject--but there are way too many paragraphs devoted to windchill in this book. I think the Tracy’s are running out of steam. The clever dialogue that characterized the earlier books in this series has given way to tired cliches.
