From Library Journal:

Howell (New Knits on the Block), host of DIY Channel's Knitty Gritty program, has put together a collection of patterns designed to appeal to the teenage knitter. Each of the 31 projects is graded for difficulty as either Freshman (very easy), Junior Varsity (moderately easy), or Varsity (a bit more challenging, but you can totally do it!). The book is suitable for beginning knitters as it teaches the basics with very clear illustrations for both the English and the Continental methods of knitting and purling. Projects relate to various high school types and themes that you might find in a school yearbook. A fun selection for public library YA collections. (c) Copyright 2010.
