Knowing that this was a book by the author of the Artemis Fowl series and The Supernaturalist, i snatched it right up. This book was a bit weird for Colfer, he's definitely branching out and trying new things. It had all the ingredients that make his books successful - strong characters, action and excitement, and a unique story concept. Half-Moon Investigations follows the adventures of Fletcher Moon, a twelve year old detective who gets caught up in a conspiracy involving attacks on various townspeople when he tries to solve a case. He ends up a fugitive on the run from the law, and only has one day and the company of one unlikely friend to solve the case before he is blamed for everything. It was not quite Eoin's best work, but still very good. I would recommend it to any of his fans.

Fletcher Moon is only 12 years old, but he has already graduated from an online detective class. His first case: find out who swiped the lock of a pop star’s hair that April bought on eBay. You’ll enjoy the fun!

This book is about a 12-year-old boy whose name is Fletcher Moon and he's a detective. People call him Half-Moon because he's very short. Weird things happen to Fletcher and the police feels that he himself is the criminal. He then teams up with his arch-enemy, Red Sharkey, and they solve the case. I like this book because it has lots of mystery as well as humor.

it was okay throws in an unexpected twist here or there, but one word to sum this book up is cheesy, non likely, seemingly impossible, and a little weird.
