Audiobook. Great story by one of America’s best writers. Teen-age Ashmawy Mulloy is torn between the culture in which he lives and experiences around him, and his devotion to Allah, as prescribed by his Qur’an teacher. Updike’s characters add an interesting dimension to the story. Brilliantly read by Christopher Lane.
