There comes a time when a series should retire and IMHO, Brown should retire this series. It’s pretty predictable. Ok, I admit I wasn’t expecting great literature, but this series is feeling tired, as if this latest book is one more churned out to fulfill a contract. (Shades of the "Cat Who" series.) Its saving grace is it isn’t "co-authored" by a horse. Though, on the whole, the "Sneaky Pie" books are more enjoyable/less preachy. Sermons on the merits/validity of fox hunting in America get old. So many books, so little time.
