This book was really sad because it tells about a girl named Ellen who is verbally and sexually abused by her dad and his friends. Her mom killed herself by talking ti many pills. Ellen was left on her own. She depended on her best friend Starletta. She was moved around many times from her evil grandmas to a foster home. This book is written very well but it depressing to read about what Ellen went through as a child and how she was treated by her dad.
