One of my favorite books is Number the Stars by Lois Lowry because it shows what some people life was like during World war two. In Number the Stars the problem is Annimarie's friend Ellen is Jewish and the soliders are taking away all the Jewish people so Annimarie is trying to save her friends Life! Number the Stars takes place in Copenhagen, Denmark during World war two. The main characters are Animarie's best friend Ellen. Annimarie who has to decide if she will be brave or not to save her friends life and Uncle Henrick who is keeping Animarie's family the Johansens at his house. I really like the book Number the stars because it shows bravery and friendship. It is also is a very good advenure and hard to dream some parts were true. While reading the book Number the stars one of my favorite things to do was put mself in the place of the characters and think about what I would do if I was one of the characters. Would I have the courage to do it? I really like the book Number the Stars and all the characters in it!

Great book for the young reader, 8-12. Tells the tale of a young girl Annemarie who lives in Denmark, who is indirectly & directly affected by WWII. Shows the effects of war, the heroism of people during dangerous times & the cruelty of man against others. It is written in a way that lets young readers understand the times without providing the gruesome details. Highly recommended.

Her best friend ellen musst move in or be taken by the Nazi's. Now she must go on a risky operation to get Ellen sfley overseas, where the Nazi's haven't , and won't be taken over. A very exciting book, and even the characters are made up your, learing about U.S history, and having fun reading at the same time.
