This book gave me mixed feelings. It started out good but sort of scared me towards the end. I found this book to be pretty disturbing and a little too long; especially in Goldstein's book. My final thought: It was an OK book and MAY interest you.

I think 1984 is a very good book. It tells of life in the future (technically, in 1984, so in the past, but it was written to be a futuristic book) under a controlling party led by Big Brother. It tells of how a man tries to go against the party, and tells about how he's ultimately crushed and persuaded to believe everything the party says. This is a very philisophical book, and if you like philosophy and negative utopian stories, this is a classic you must read.
