Dean Koontz continues his string of suspense-thriller-horror with a another bang of a an original plot and characters. Just a regular guy, Tim Carrier gets a hit assignment by mistake and tries to undo the damage by protecting the target. The intended victim, Linda Paquette, a writer, is no wilting flower. Every bit Tim's equal in inventiveness and grit, she is as well rounded a character as Tim. Koontz keeps the action flying, hardly giving his protagonists' a breather. With this new book, Koontz continues to show his skill as a writer.
