The novel Animal Farm is a satire/fable of the Russian revolution and Stalin, and generally any totalitarian society. The novel addresses not only the corruption of the revolution by its leaders but also how greed, indifference, and ignorance corrupt the revolution. The novel highlights the reality of what can happen when absolute power is placed in the hands of a few. ultimately we learn that "All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others." 4 out of 5 stars

Parallels to the Democratic Primary are incredible. "All animals are equal. Some are more equal than others" sums up the super-delegates well.

This book was okay. It is mainly a satire/fairy tale about communism. It's interesting, and some parts really get your attention, and it makes its point clear. If you are interested in learning more about communism and why it can't work, read this book.

i had to write this review. i saw someone write a review about this book and gave it 1 star. totally wrong! the person said that it had a horrible plot. not! ok u have to get past the fact that they r animals doing these things. u have to think about what everythin represents and how it relates to past history. its a great, short, thinking book.

This book was just great! It's easy to understand and teaches you an important lesson in life. The only problem a person may have with this book is that he/she may become disturbed because of how badly the animals are treated. I better not tell anymore or I'll ruin the book! Its a classic that I recommed.

Animal Farm is not a kiddy little book about chickens and pigs playing in the farmyard like some people might think by hearing the title. It's a powerful novel about some farm animals who decide to overthrow the farmer and start their own "republic". They start with good intentions--"All animals are equel", but somehow or other later on the phrase changes to "All animals are equel, but some are more equel than others". If you want to be stirred up, read this book. A good allegory of communism.
