And equally important as learning how to write a novel, is learning how NOT to write a novel. Because if you know how not to write a novel, then you can reverse that information and deduce how TO write a novel. Which is why you were reading this book. (Note to innocent children and young manatees: there is a reason that this book is in the adult section. But, if you are determined to learn how not to write a novel, then I recommend you overlook a few particular words and skip a certain chapter that I also skipped.)
