This is a realistic fiction book I could not put down. It is about a disfunctional family of the sandwich generation where parents expectations and their childrens expectations of themselves and each other provide a complex, believable story. The family is trying to unite with an intervention for an adult grandchild who is a heroin addict. It is well written and believable. I first heard about the book on NPR last summer.
