Boy meets girl. Boy really likes girl. Girl has a secret. Bet you can't guess what it is! I was impressed with how real this one was, not at all sensationalistic. Just a really truthful look at how hard falling in love can be, especially when you're carrying around body parts or chromosomes that just don't feel right.

Loved the first 2/3 of the book. The ending broke my heart, though. Emotionally powerful, certainly, but if you’re looking for an uplifting book, this isn’t it.

I just finished my third reading of this book (about once a year). It is terrific - and if you aren’t crying by the end, you need to be checked to make sure your heart is still there. (and if matters (not sure it does ... but ...) I am a 56y old woman who is not transgender- this book can (and should be read and enjoyed by EVERYONE of EVERY AGE)
