My Brother Sam is Dead,is a five star book. This book was a page turner. It also was thrilling and exciting. I love how you felt mad, sad, and happy at the same time. At times I found myself talking, shouting, and even crying for the characters. I know they weren't real, but they had real feelings.I love to read about history and I learned a lot about history from this book.
It's set in 1775 and the Revolutionary War is about to begin. It was interesting and sad at the same time. I could not believe how much of the book was actually true. The book discribes how brave all the soldiers really were. They would get killed just to save their country. All around it was an awesome book!!

I really loved this book. It is all about the American Revolution. I know it sounds like it might be really boring but it's not. It is really exciting. It is about a boy named Tim, his family is all loyalists until his brother announces he will be going to war with the patriots because he wants to be free. There is a lot of tension between Tim's father and brother. There are spys everywhere and everybody only thinks about the war. This is a really exciting book, I couldn't set it down!
