This book and "Someone Like You" are the basis of the new movie starring Mandy Moore: "How to Deal." Both are excellent. "That Summer" is the story of a girl's crazy summer, including the marriage of her sister, and her father. I like how it involves no love story, and is simply a comming-of-age story with laughs, tears, and joy.

Two family members weddings bring about many new challenges for the 15 year old girl, Haven. She finds an old "friend" who makes things better and then worse but straitens things up.
