Summary: Two black women, mother and daughter, team up in this delightful suspenseful whodunit which is filled with surprising twists and turns. When Simone's former college room-mate is arrested for murder, it appears an open and shut case; but Simone's boss, leading criminal lawyer Sydney Jacoby, takes on the case and assigns her to investigate. Joining forces with her mother, a self-styled private investigator, they set to work to solve the case.
