A Swedish mystery. Not as good as Stieg Larsson's books.

This is the start of an excellent Swedish mystery series with great characters. When it ends, you want more.

Friends recommended this writer as someone their mystery book group liked reading. It’s all the rage to read Scandinavian mysteries these days.
Part crime story, part romance; it’s pretty good, but I felt the translation a little flawed. I doubt I’ll read more.

Enjoyable, quick read. Reminds me a bit of the books by Yrsa Sigurdardottir. The protaganist is not a cop but investigates a murder and there is lots of stuff about her personal relationships in the story. I enjoyed it and will try another.

**** stars. This is the 1st book in the Swedish Patrik Hedstrom series. A young woman is found frozen in her bathtub with her wrists cut - a murder made to look like a suicide. You meet the main continuing characters which is always a huge plus when the mystery is intriguing and the people are well developed. If you are looking for the first book in any author's series I love Fantistic Fiction a British website. Recommend the book and author.
