This is frightfully bad. The writing in this book clearly shows the power of the late Robert Parker’s seemingly simple style. Robert Parker’s prose was so powerful and sharp that an imitator such as Michael Brandman probably won’t ever be able to emulate it. My opinion: skip this.

I agree with all of the negative comments. What a denigration of the talent of Robert B. Parker. Brandman created caricatures, not characters.
