The dragon's apprentice
Owen, James A.
Teen Fiction OWEN

Comments  Summary  Excerpt  Reviews

From Library Journal:

Three Oxford professors in midcentury England are secretly the caretakers of an atlas mapping history and mystical places. During a visit with figures including Edgar Allan Poe, H.G. Wells, and Jules Verne, time begins to unravel, and the caretakers' ancient enemy makes a move that threatens all of history. This fifth entry in Owen's "Imaginarium Geographica" series-following The Shadow Dragons (2009), also available from S. & S. Audio-provides a compelling story with valuable points of discussion appropriate for YAs and their parents. The complex plot and extensive list of characters, however, though well differentiated by actor/narrator James Langton, make this difficult to follow as a stand-alone work. Recommended for fans of the series and those liking the work of Jasper Fforde.-Lisa Anderson, Metropolitan Community Coll. Lib., Omaha (c) Copyright 2011.
