This is a fascinating story of characters connected by the american punk music scene, told out of chronological order. In the hands of a lesser author, that could seem gimicky, but Egan does it so well you can't wait to see what happens in each of the character's lives.

Jennifer Egan is a brilliant. I will be purchasing this book to read over and over again. She is now my favorite author.
