A wonderful biography, in story form, of the life and schievements of Nathaniel Bowditch (born in New Wngland in 1773.) This book reads like fiction and offers excellent historical background on the early American nation. This story reflects stellar values throughout and is a fantastic read!

The story has lots of tragedy at the beginning that may be difficult to get through but the rest of the story is inspirational, uplifting, and well worth getting to. This is a great book for pre-teen / early teen. I read it to my 10 yr old son and had lots of good conversation around the book.
