It was amazing!!!! I've already read it around fifteen times and it just keeps getting better. It's an epic fantasy with a hero assistant pig-keeper, a head-strong loquacious princess, a odd-talking funny animal that hard to tell exactly WHAT it is, and a bard with a constantly breaking harp. Not to mention a dark-lord, an army of immortal zombie-like creatures, and a quest to save the world. It's based off of Finnish folktales with a twist of its own.
Highly recommended to anyone with a brain.

Second in the series. Deals heavily with the concept of Sacrifice and what really makes a hero. What would you be willing to give up in order to stop evil? Darker than the first book, there is still moments of humor mixed in. A real treat. Not a difficult read, but very enjoyable.
