One death too many nearly ruins this otherwise outstanding novel that is much better than Bel-Air Dead. It should have been a 10 star instead of only 8 of 10 stars.

One of his better books, very entertaining. 8 of 10 for me.

I estimate that I abandon perhaps one book in fifty without finishing. This is the one. I had not read this author before and was expecting what? a mystery?, a courtroom drama?, a thriller? None of that here – at least not through page 96 where my patience ran out. If you have a perfectly behaved illegitimate genius teenager, your own jet, tons of money, and a desire for a tutorial on how to peddle influence to get Junior into an elite school, then this may be the book for you. Otherwise, forget it. If you are still determined to sample this turkey, at least start with page 97, because you won’t have missed anything before that. One star.
