Where's the dinosaur?
Moseley, Keith
Easy Picture Book MOSELEY
From Publishers' Weekly:
George and his intrepid grandfather-both smartly dressed in 19th-century attire-travel via hot air balloon to a remote island where it's rumored that there are living dinosaurs. More than 90 embossed dinosaurs and fossils are hidden in Moseley's paintings. But George and Grandfather mistake the dinosaurs' legs for tree trunks and a T. rex's rumbling for a volcano, departing the island none the wiser ("What a shame! Not a single dinosaur to be seen!"). While George and Grandfather's obliviousness is taken to the extreme, readers should enjoy being in on the secret. Oddly, none of the dinosaurs are identified. Ages 4-7.
