Summary: Born In Minnesota, Mabel Seeley (1903-1991) was this state's answer to Agatha Christie. In The Chuckling Fingers she tells of the weird and strange events that beset the Heaton family, Minnesota lumber tycoons, at their remote, pine-forested estate called "Fiddler's Fingers" on Lake Superior. Seeley's fourth murder mystery in as many years, The Chuckling Fingers was promoted as the mystery novel of the year when it was published in 1941.
