This book was shelved with adult fiction, and since I love Louise Erdrich’s books I signed it out, read it, and enjoyed it. The story made me feel immersed in the life of the main character and her family. The crow is a very interesting part of the story, and made me interested in learning more about crows as pets. I liked the sensitive illustrations by Louise Erdrich herself. I felt that the author introjected herself into a part of the main character, which I appreciated. This book, although written as a children’s book, was a fine read for me, an adult.
