An Hercule Poirot Novel. This is actually one of the best known of Agatha Christie’s books-next to Murder on the Nile-, and that’s probably because the solution is so ingenious. I personally have never liked the movies based on this book, but the book itself is one of my favorite of hers. The characters are funny, and no one is what they appear to be. There is a reason why this book is one of her most popular; it is also one of her best.

The classic Hercule Poirot mystery. 13 people on a train and one of them is a murderer! Poirot uses his "little grey cells" to solve the case. There is a reason this excellent book has been adapted so many times on TV or in movies. M. Poirot is a funny looking man, but with a shrewd and critical mind. As always, Christie recreates the atmosphere of the early part of the 20th century when trains were still the primary means of travel.
